How Does Frontline Plus for Cats Work?
Frontline Plus for cats contains two active ingredients, fipronil and s-methoprene. After application, the solution is spread on the cat's body from a single point of application to the entire body. The active formula localizes in the hair, on the skin surface and in the sebaceous glands. These glands work as a reservoir and continuously replenish the formula on the cat's skin and coat.
Fipronil targets the adult fleas and ticks on your pet. S-methoprene prevents the laying of fertile eggs and stops larval and pupal development. Thus, it prevents the re-infestation of your pet and contamination of your home.
Frontline Plus for Cats is for external use on kittens and cats only. Do not administer it orally. It is not indicated for use in dogs or humans.
