How Does Frontline Plus for Dogs Work?
Frontline Plus for dogs contains two active ingredients, fipronil and s-methoprene. After application, the formula quickly spreads and covers the entire body of the dog. The ingredients localize on your dog's skin surface, in the hair and in the sebaceous glands. These glands work as a reservoir and continuously replenish the formula on the dog's skin and coat.
Fipronil targets the adult fleas and ticks on your pet. S-methoprene prevents the laying of fertile eggs and stops larval and pupal development. Thus, it prevents the re-infestation of your pet and contamination of your home.
Frontline Plus for Dogs is for external use on puppies and dogs only. Do not administer it orally. It is not indicated for use in cats or humans. You should keep this topical product out of the reach of children, uninformed people and pets.
