We all are often warned, not to share the people food with our dogs. Actually, there are some of the people food, which can be shared with our beloved pet. You can include these foods as supplements, treats to boost your dog’s diet as well as provide a boost to his health. Here is the list of healthy food, which can be shared with your pooch unless your pup has an allergy or special sensitivity.

1. Apples

They are a great source of Vitamin A, C, and Fibers. Apples can be given to dogs as a treat. Apples also help to clean your pooch’s teeth and freshen up the breath. Make sure, that before you give him this treat remove the seeds and core. As this can be choking hazardous and the seeds consumed in large quantities can be toxic.

2. Blueberries

This is a good fruit for all of us as well as for our dogs. They are a great source of fibers and with lots of antioxidants. You can give them in a shape of frozen crunchy treat.

3. Carrots

This is the best item, if your pooch is on weight loss program, as they are low in calories and high in fiber. Carrots are favorite treat and snack for dogs. They are high in beta-carotene/vitamin A and even excellent for dental health.

4 Chicken

This is also a great source of protein. Make sure, you give boiled and boneless chicken to your fur baby. Chicken can be used as a treat or add to the regular diet for fussy eaters.

5. Cottage Cheese

It can be a good source of calcium. But, ensure that your dog digests dairy products well. There are many dogs who are not able to digest the dairy products. If he is fit for cottage cheese, you can add to your dog’s food. Note, cheese are high in fat too.

6. Green Beans

They are low in calorie and healthy for your dog. It contains lots of fibers, vitamin K, and vitamin C. You can give it raw or cooked to your dog. Don’t give the canned green beans as it contains salt in it. You can even freeze the beans and give it to your dog as a treat.

7. Eggs

If you want to give a protein boost to your pup, then eggs are best to do it. You can add boiled eggs to your furry pal’s diet or give it to him as a snack. It also helps to soothe upset tummies, as they are a good source of riboflavin and selenium.

8. Rice

This is a great diet for an upset tummy. You might be knowing rice comes in two colors that are brown rice and white rice. You can serve any of them to your pooch. White rice is an easily digestible carbohydrate and a great source of energy. Brown rice is low in fat and higher in protein.

9. Salmon

This can provide many benefits to your pooch, as it is full of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. It helps to keep your dog’s coat healthy and shiny and provides immune system support too. You can even add the salmon oil to your pet’s food as a supplement for the same effect.
