How Does Bravecto Topical for Dogs Work?
Bravecto Topical for dogs contains the active ingredient fluralaner. Once applied, the active formula quickly reaches tissue fluids just under your dog’s skin. When parasites, such as fleas and ticks, feed on your dog, they ingest fluralaner. The active formula interrupts the neurotransmission of parasites. It causes severe overstimulation in the nervous system of parasites, leading to paralysis and death of the insects.
According to controlled laboratory studies referred to in the label, Bravecto (fluralaner) killed nearly all fleas within 24 hours. It reduced the number of live fleas on dogs by 100% within 48 hours after infestation for 12 weeks.
