Strongid P Horse Wormer Paste

Strongid P Wormer Paste is a safe, well-accepted, effective and easily administered broad-spectrum anthelmintic that has been developed specifically to treat and control adult infections of large and small redworms, pinworms and ascarids in horses. It is also effective against tapeworms if given double dose. It is recommended for foals and horses at least 4 weeks of age and above, along with pregnant/nursing mares and breeding stallions. But this treatment is not effective against worm eggs, larvae, lung-worms or bots.

Pyrantel Embonate is the active ingredient present in this oral deworming paste. It disrupts the nerve cells of the worms thereby paralyzing them. It is effective against pinworms, redworms, tapeworms and ascarids in horses and foals.

• Strictly for oral administration only.
• This paste comes in syringe form with four weight mark increments.
• Each weight mark indicates the recommended dose for 300 lb. of horse body-weight.
• Position screw-gauge over appropriate mark on plunger.
• Remove the cap and deposit the paste on the dorsum of the horse's tongue.
• Introduce the nozzle end of the syringe at the corner of the mouth.
• Direct the syringe backwards and depress the plunger to deposit the paste onto the tongue.
• If the dose is administered in this manner, there is less likelihood of rejection of the paste.
• Raise the head of the horse for some time after administration to aid in the swallowing process.
• If only part of the paste has been used, replace the cap on the syringe nozzle.

• Any unused product keeps for two months after use of an oral dose needs to be discarded.
• Ensure that there is no direct contact of the treatment with the human skin. In case of accidental exposure, wash the skin that comes in contact with the treatment with rinsed water.
• Keep the product at a room temperature of more than 25 degrees Celsius.
• Keep the product away from the exposure to direct sunlight in tightly closed original container.
• The same oral dose should only be used to dose two animals if they are both healthy and are either running together, or are on the same premises and in direct contact with each other.
• This treatment is strictly for horses and no other animal species.
• This treatment should not be administered to horses that are meant to be slaughtered for human consumption.
