Panacur Granules for Cats and Dogs

Panacur Granules is an oral anthelmentic for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. The oral formulation is highly effective in treating broad spectrum gastrointestinal worms. It treats and prevents tapeworms, hookworms, whipworms and roundworms. Panacur is helpful for the treatment of dogs and cats infected with immature and mature stages of roundworms of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts.

The anthelmintic treatment is useful for adult dogs and cats infected with roundworms and tapeworms:

• Ascarid spp. (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati and Toxascaris leonina)
• Ancylostomaspp
• Trichurisspp
• Uncinariaspp
• Taeniaspp

The formulation helps in the treatment of weaned puppies and kittens infected with gastro-intestinal roundworms and puppies infected with protozoa (Giardia spp.).

Panacur granules are highly used for the treatment of pregnant female dogs to reduce prenatal infections with Toxocara canis and the transfer of T. canis and Ancylostoma caninum to their pups via the milk.

Dosage recommendations:

• 1 g sachet /dose: Treats 2kg (4.4lb) bodyweight as a single dose (1.1 – 2.2kg)
• 1.8 g sachet / dose: Treats 4kg (8.8lb) bodyweight as a single dose (2.2 – 4.4kg)
• 4.5 g sachet /dose: Treats 10kg (22lb) bodyweight as a single dose (5 – 10kg)

• Do not use in animals that are hypersensitive to the drug.
