Yes. This product is available in two forms:
The chew is safe to use on dogs and puppies 6 months of age and older, and weighing at least 4.4 pounds. It has also been evaluated for use in breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs.
The oral treatment is safe to give concurrently with other commonly used treatments. However, it is best to check with a veterinarian before using it simultaneously with other treatments.
Chewables should be administered with food. If you break or crumble the chew, ensure your dog consumes the full dose.
If 4 or more hours have passed before your dog vomits, the dose is likely to get absorbed and the dog is protected. If your dog is otherwise healthy and has vomited within 3 hours of receiving the treatment, administer a new dose. However, wait for 24 hours until you re-dose to avoid the chances of vomiting again. Do not administer a third chew in case the dog vomits again. Consult a veterinarian to get tailored recommendations.
There are no adverse effects expected if a dog is treated with twice the recommended dosage within 12 weeks. It is suggested, however, to contact a veterinarian in such a situation.
Both chew and topical are flea and tick treatments that provide up to 12 weeks of parasite protection. Use chews if your dog is comfortable with receiving an oral treatment. Alternatively, use the topical if you have a fussy eater.
The chewables are safe to use along with other commonly used treatments and preventives. However, take the help of a veterinarian to get the best solution for your dog.
