How Do Bravecto Chewables Work?

Bravecto Chewable for Dogs contains fluralaner as the active ingredient which belongs to the isoxazoline family. After ingestion, the active ingredient, fluralaner, is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. The formula blocks the neurotransmission in the nervous system of fleas and ticks. It causes uncontrollable neuromuscular activities, such as seizures, resulting in the death of these parasites.

Bravecto Chews are known to begin killing fleas within two hours. The treatment reduces >98% of live fleas within 12 hours and provides complete effectiveness against adult fleas 48 hours post-infestation. Plus, it delivers more than 90% effectiveness against all five tick species 72 hours post-infestation.

Directions
  • Administer Bravecto Chewables orally as a single dose, once every 3 months.
  • It should be administered once every 8 weeks in case of potential exposure to Lone Star ticks.
  • You can begin your dog's treatment with Bravecto at any time of the year.
  • Due to the reduced bioavailability of fluralaner in the fasted state, it should be given with food.
