Cazitel Plus Tablets For Dogs

Cazitel Plus is a powerful and affordable multi-wormer for dogs. Cazitel Plus comes in pork flavored tablets, which are specially designed to treat the common types of intestinal worms such as roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms and whipworms. Adult dogs should ideally be wormed every 3 months. These tablets are economica and safe to use.

Cazitel Plus contains three active ingredients that is Praziquantel, Pyrantel and Febantel, which helps to eliminate all the various types of gastrointestinal worms. Each tablet consists 50mg Praziquantel, 50mg Pyrantel and 150mg Febantel. It treats all the mixed infections by nematodes and cestodes of the following species in dogs.

Nematodes:

• Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms).
• Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults).
• Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults).

Cestodes:

• Tapeworms: Echinococcus species, (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia species, (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

• Controls 12 species of intestinal worms
• Controls shedding of giardia oocysts

• Tablets have to be administered orally, that is directly into the mouth of dog or by mixing it with the food.
• No starvation required before or after treatment.
• One single tablet treats 22 lbs body weight.

Treatment

• Common regime for hookworm and roundworm treatment is to worm puppies at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks and then every month until 6 months of age. Thereafter, every 3 months.
• Treat breeding dogs prior to mating then 10 days before whelping and 2 and 4 weeks after whelping.
• Whipworms can be treated every 6 to 8 weeks after 3 months of age.
• Tapeworms (excluding hydatid tapeworms) can be treated every 3 months.
• Dogs in Hydatid Tapeworm areas should be treated every 6 weeks.

Dosage

Cazitel Plus tablets for Small and Medium dogs 22 lbs (10 kg)

• Between half a kg and 2kg - Give a quarter of a tablet
• Between 3kg and 5kg - Give half a tablet
• Between 6kg and 10kg - Give one tablet
• Between 11kg and 15kg - Give one and a half tablets
• Between 16kg and 20kg - Give two tablets
• Between 21kg and 25kg - Give two and a half tablets
• Between 26kg and 30kg - Give three tablets
• Between 31kg and 35kg - Give three and a half tablets
• Between 36kg and 40kg - Give four tablets.

Above 40 kg administer 1 tablet per 10 kg

Cazitel Plus XL tablets for Large dogs 77 lbs (35 kg)

For large breed dogs, administer 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet per 35 kg body weight.

For dogs heavier than 35 kg, give one tablet of Cazitel XL plus the appropriate number of Cazitel plus tablets equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight.

• 36 - 40 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 1/2 Cazitel Plus tablet
• 41 - 45 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 1 Cazitel Plus tablet
• 46 - 50 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 1 1/2 Cazitel Plus tablet
• 51 - 55 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 2 Cazitel Plus tablets
• 56 - 60 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 2 1/2 Cazitel Plus tablets
• 61 - 65 kg - 1 Cazitel Plus XL tablet + 3 Cazitel Plus tablets
• 66 - 70 kg - 2 Cazitel Plus XL tablets

• For animal treatment only.
• Keep out of reach from children and pets.
• No special storage conditions required.
• Discard any unused divided tablets.
• It is recommended that the product is not used in dogs during the first 4 weeks of pregnancy.
• Do not exceed the stated dose when treating a pregnant dog.

Contraindications:

• Do not use in animals with a known sensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.
• Do not use simultaneously with piperazine compounds.
