Joint Guard has been specifically developed to combat symptoms of arthritis and associated joint problems in dogs. A long term use of this treatment ensures reduction of non-infectious joint inflammation, including arthritis, Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD), injury, hip dysplasia or over-activity. It is also used as a preventative treatment in younger dogs, particularly those breeds that are susceptible to joint problems including German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Retrievers. It can even be useful for those dogs that have high activity levels or are working dogs.

Glucosamine, Chondroitin sulfate, Manganese, Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) amongst others assists in keeping the dog's joints as healthy as possible. Glucosamine is effective in reducing the effect of arthritis in dogs and acts as a building block of cartilage to aid in reconstructing the damaged joints along with keeping the cartilage cells healthy and functioning properly. MSM, a natural sulphur-based ingredient aids in reducing the pain connected with the inflammation thereby maintaining healthy bone and cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate blocks the enzymes that break down the cartilage cells, thereby ensuring the swift recovery of the dog's joints. All these ingredients when combined together result in the treatment of joint problems in dogs.

• Long-term treatment is required.
• Each scoop contains 5 g, with a half-scoop division providing 2.5 g.
• The powder should be sprinkled on or mixed in with the pet's food. A small amount of moist food is preferred. Ensure that the pet eats the entire amount of food.

Dosage Details

Initial period: four to six weeks.

• 5 to 10 kg. Half a scoop daily (one-quarter in the morning and one-quarter in the evening).
• 11 to 22 kg. 1 scoop daily (half in the morning and half in the evening).
• 23 to 44 kg. 1 1/2 scoops daily (1 in the morning and half in the evening).
• Over 45 kg. 2 scoops daily (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening).

Maintenance dose

• 5 to 10 kg. One-quarter scoop daily (once in the morning).
• 11 to 22 kg. Half a scoop daily (one-quarter in the morning and one-quarter in the evening).
• 23 to 44 kg. 1 scoop daily (half in the morning and half in the evening).
• Over 45 kg. 1 1/2 scoops daily (1 in the morning and half in the evening).

• After using the product, replace the lid tightly.
• Consult with your veterinarian before administering this treatment to diabetic and obese dogs.
• Keep the product away from moisture.
• The product needs to be stored at a room temperature below 30 degrees Celsius.
