• You can begin your dog's treatment with NexGard Spectra at any time of the year.
• Weigh your dog to determine the correct dosage strength.
• Administer NexGard Spectra orally as a single dose, once every month.
• It can be given with or without food. When giving food, ensure your dog takes the complete dose. If you suspect that the dog has not taken the complete dose, give another full dose.
• If you miss a dose, administer one dose as soon as you recall dosing and resume with monthly dosing.
• When switching from another heartworm preventive product to NexGard Spectra, administer the first dose within 30 days of the last dose of the former product.
• Talk to a vet before starting a heartworm preventive program.
• For continuous, year-round protection, continue the treatment throughout the year without interruption.

NexGard Spectra for Dogs Dosing Guide:

NexGard Spectra is not for use in humans. You should keep these chews out of the reach of children, uninformed people and pets. In case of accidental ingestion, immediately consult a physician. NexGard Spectra can be used in pregnant, breeding or lactating female dogs. However, its safety has not been evaluated in breeding male dogs. These chews should be used with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.

Do not administer NexGard Spectra to puppies under 8 weeks of age or under 4.4 lbs of body weight. As it is an oral treatment, there are no restrictions on your dog’s swimming, bathing and shampooing before or after the treatment.

Do not open the inner pouch until you are ready to use the treatment. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
