Equimec Paste is a powerful oral parasite control solution for horses, targeting a wide range of internal parasites. Effective against roundworms, including arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris and benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles, it also treats bots and skin lesions caused by Habronema, Draschia spp. (summer sores), and Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis). Ideal for horses of all ages, including mares and stallions, this versatile treatment controls multiple species such as Large and Small Strongyles, Hairworms, Pinworms, Bots, Large mouth stomach worms, Intestinal threadworms, Neck threadworms, and Lungworms. Its low-dose composition, combined with a convenient trigger applicator, ensures accurate dosing and effective parasite control.

• Administer Equimec Paste at a recommended dose of 200 µg ivermectin per kg of body weight.
• One syringe is designed to treat a horse weighing up to 600 kg.
• Each weight marking on the plunger dispenses 1.07 g of paste, enough for 100 kg of body weight.
• Unlock the knurled ring by rotating it 1/4 turn and adjust it along the plunger shaft to the correct weight marking.
• Lock the knurled ring with another 1/4 turn and remove the plastic cap from the nozzle.
• Ensure the horse’s mouth is clear of feed before administering the paste.
• Insert the syringe into the horse’s mouth, placing it in the gap between the front and back teeth.
• Depress the plunger completely to apply the paste to the back of the tongue.
• Raise the horse’s head immediately after dosing to ensure the entire dose is ingested.

• Avoid administering within 21 days before slaughtering horses for human consumption.
• Not suitable for use in animals intended for human consumption.
• Can be safely used in pregnant mares at any stage of pregnancy.
• Treatment of stallions does not affect their fertility.
• Take precautions to prevent contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
• In case of ingestion, seek prompt medical attention due to potential toxicity.
• Dispose of used syringes by wrapping them in paper and placing them in the trash.
