Profender for cats contains two anthelmintics, emodepside and praziquantel. After application, these active ingredients are absorbed topically through the cat's skin. The formula quickly reaches the intestinal tract of cats where it kills and eliminates all common feline gastrointestinal worms. Emodepside is effective against roundworms and hookworms, whereas praziquantel acts against tapeworms.

Usually, the worms are expelled through the cat's feces after a single dose of Profender and a second treatment should not be required. However, in the case of re-infection, you can reapply the treatment after one month.

How to Use Profender Topical Treatment on Cats?

• Weigh your cat and choose the appropriate pack.
• Remove the tube from the package.
• Remove the cap from the tube while holding it in an upright position.
• Now, turn the cap over and place the other end of the cap onto the tip of the tube.
• Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove the cap from the tube.
• Part the hair on the cat's back at the base of the head, until the skin is visible.
• Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the entire contents directly onto the skin.
• Lift the tube away from the skin before releasing pressure on the tube.
• Refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

Profender Dosing Guide:

Profender is for topical application on cats only. Do not apply it to broken skin or if the coat is wet. You should use it with caution in heartworm-positive cats and sick or debilitated cats. Keep the liquid away from the cat's mouth or eyes. Do not allow the cat to lick the application site for one hour after application. If you have multiple pets, keep the treated cat separated to prevent licking of the treatment.

Do not use in kittens less than 8 weeks of age or weighing 2.2 lbs. The safety of Profender has not been evaluated in cats used for pregnancy, breeding or lactation. Its efficacy when used before bathing has not been evaluated.

Profender is not for human use. Avoid children coming in contact with the application site for 24 hours. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid direct contact or wear gloves when applying Profender. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product.
